WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD A GRANNY DO THIS?

Here's why.
In 1993 an orphanage was begun under the name of Tapestries of Life, Inc. called Casa De Las Gemas OR The House of gems. 

Our goal: To rescue the innocent children from sexual slavery, abuse, starvation, and abandonment. Through the years the founder, Pastor Steven Brewer; family and faithful staff  have fought many an uphill battle in the war to protect the innocent, homeless, hungry orphans wandering in the desert. . .even tonight as you read this they are cold, alone, and frightened and even some for sale. This facility will house 400 children and be an international adoption agency upon completion.  The first of its kind.

It is time to bring the children home.  In a land where there are no Salvation Army bell ringers, No Goodwill Stores, No Food Stamps, No HRS, and no Government Run Charity agencies. It is up to us.  Those who still have a dollar or ten, a conscience, or a soft spot for the innocent children please join in.

This little granny will plant a kiss on a huge pig in Sioux Center, Iowa at the Sandbulte Farm (home to about 4,000 pigs) to generate funds to bring these children home at last. PLEASE  HELP.  Sponsor my kiss!

It is my goal, being in daily communication with USDA and CDC, the proper government agencies, to help abate the potential panic trying to overtake this nation. Don't let Swine Flu abort this much needed safe, secure home. Fall is always Flu season...everywhere.

Last year the efforts to build the orphanage and cafeteria and complete the Tapestries of Life vision became seriously threatened financially because of two words SWINE FLU. Folks panicked and began cancelling their trips. Building teams and finances took a drastic decline.  

Folks, the U.S. experiences flu every year, the innocent little pigs, didn't cause it!  You can still

eat Ham and Eggs, or BLT's on toast.  This is not about the pigs: they are A-ok and not guilty.

Won't you dig deep into your hearts and pockets and donate to this sincere and noble effort?

I do not take lightly those who have sustained family losses nor those who feel frightened, but I do know one thing for sure:  Flu happens every year. Follow along to learn helpful ways to help avoid being a "flu bug" recipient this year. We can do our part to slow it down.......
